Winged Girl (possibly Jenny)

Age 12, turning 13 on March 25th. Human-like body, normal 12-year-old size, born with white wings.

Powers/Abilities: Flight via wings. Exceptional athleticism — has won every soccer, basketball, tennis, and badminton game she has played. Deep, instinctive connection with animals; her home planet had no animals, so when she arrived on Earth she bonded with them immediately.

Backstory: From Ubla (described as more likely a moon than a planet), where all inhabitants are humanoid with wings and no animals exist. Her planet/moon was attacked by a swarm of living asteroids and broke in half — one half had all the civilization, the other had all the stores. She and her parents fled on a small spaceship and were pulled into a wormhole that sent them back in time. They left Ubla on March 24th (their calendar year “2026”) and landed on Earth on March 26th, 2021 — five years in Earth’s past. A time travel machine had also come through the wormhole and landed about a mile away; they used it to travel forward to March 25th, 2024 (her birthday). She was 10 when they arrived at the corrected time; she is now 12. Earth and its people have adjusted to the family having wings. She has bullies at school.

Relationships: Mother owns a clothing-making company; father owns a bank. Human friend Kaylee helps explain Earth and human things to her. Lives in an apartment across the hall from her parents. Family is planning to move to Dennysville, Maine (cheaper than NYC).

Name notes: Ellie was workshopping a name; father jokingly suggested “Bosiphus” (rejected); “Jenny” was floated near the end.
