First appearance note: Described as Rainbow’s “first appearance” in the Talking Imaginary series. Prior Rainbow character “Aurora, the Rainbow Cat” is a distinct, separate character.

Physical description:

• Rainbow-colored body/fur.
• Design has “wavy lines all over her.”
• “Each face in between a line is a new rainbow color.”
• Described as “very sonicky” looking.
• Ellie drew a picture of her that still needed to be colored in: “She looks much better than she does in the picture. I am not good at [drawing].”

Origin story:

• Shadow is “the ultimate life form” (Sonic universe canon).
• “The engineers who found the meteor that he hit earth in, they want to create another ultimate life form.”
• “The scientist took some of Shadow’s DNA and they just tried to make another alternate life form, Rainbow.”
• Motivation: “So they could have more power.”
• Rainbow was an existing hedgehog that the scientists performed the experiment on: “put Shadow’s DNA in her so she was an existing hedgehog.”
• Exact wording: “They put Shadow’s ultimate life form DNA into her so she could have that ultimate lifetime DNA.”
• “When they tried to put Shadow’s DNA in her, there was an odd effect.”
• The odd effect: she turned rainbow-colored — “she was all in rainbow.”

Powers:

• Chaos Control — built in; does not need a Chaos Emerald: “instead of you have to get a chaos emerald to have chaos control, she owns the tower of chaos control.”
• Possesses the Master Emerald and all seven Chaos Emeralds.
• Speed: has “speed just like Shadow.”
