Remina “Rem”
Name: Full name Remina; goes by “Rem” to her friends. “She’s in the Sonic universe. She is a Mobian. She’s a Mobian, which means basically like a humanoid animal. She’s a cat.”
Appearance:
- White fur/skin.
- Big ears — “as big as fox ears” — giving her very good hearing.
- Two tails — unusual even in the Sonic world; one reason she was considered weird.
- Dress: “a really faded light blue” — specifically faded, “a little browner and smudged,” not simply pale blue, indicating wear from her lifestyle.
- Dress condition: “ripped on the bottom, like torn and ripped on the bottom” — torn because of her lifestyle, not for fashion.
- Footwear: “sort of like Sonic sneakers, but normal sneakers, like blue sneakers.”
- Accessory: described as having “a big birdie, like birdie… but giant.”
Powers/Abilities:
- Super speed: “almost as fast as Sonic.”
- Chaos emerald power: “basically chaos emerald power. One chaos emerald. She has the equivalent power of a chaos emerald.” Described as making her “very powerful.”
- Powers she had from a young age that she was told to suppress.
- Speed control: she occasionally is unable to hold back her super speed, causing people to see it.
Backstory:
- Her true origin is a spoiler withheld from the recording — she is from “a secret place.” Her home universe is unrevealed.
- Grew up in New York City (the Sonic Prime NYC world).
- Childhood mandate: “When she was young, she was always told to be ordinary, follow the rules.” She “was always told to stay ordinary, but she had these so-called powers.”
- Childhood admiration: “she always thought they were so cool. The superheroes from a kid, she thought they were so cool.” (referring to Sonic and the crew)
- Weirdness/otherness: “She was weird,” with two tails and large ears that made her stand out; peers did not have superpowers or two tails.
- Ran away: “She didn’t want to be ordinary, so she ran away from her home in New York and hid in the shadows.”
- Travel to Boscage Maze: “When Nine picked Sonic up in his craft, she slipped into the portal.” She traveled through to find the Boscage Maze.
Current status:
- “She usually lives hiding in the shadows in the Bosscage maze.” “She usually just follows Sonic or just stays in the Bosscage.”
- Has not met Sonic’s crew yet — “they haven’t met her yet because she’s just spying on them.” Sonic’s friends include Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Rouge (“the bat girl”), and Amy.
- Goal: “she’s planning on going sometime and meeting Sonic.” “She wants to join the fight against the chaos council.”
Sonic Prime world details:
- New York City (Sonic Prime version): “almost like a 1984 style dystopia where everybody’s being watched over and has to follow the rules,” run by the Chaos Council.
-
The Chaos Council: five variations on Dr. Eggman.
- Mr. Dr. Eggman: “Barely a variation… he still doesn’t have hair. His toupee is not hair.” Described as “pretty close” to the original.
- Old Eggman: “The old dude is Eggman because he’s just old Eggman.”
- Baby Eggman: “Dr. Babbel” — “just baby.”
- Teen/Tween Eggman: Parent calls him teen; Ellie insists “tween.”
- Origami Eggman: “Middle aged” — parent says “origami guy.” Ellie agrees it is the origami guy who is middle-aged.
- Canonical note: Ellie specifies the Chaos Council members “are not related” to each other, confirmed “they said it on the second episode.”
- A lot of robots; stepping out of line results in investigation and “a pretty hard time.”
- Train Hills: Ellie corrects the parent who called it “Blue Hills” — the world is called “Train Hills.” Listed alongside New York City and Boscage Maze as altered versions of the same base Sonic world.
- Nine: has a craft and opened a portal in which Sonic was picked up; Rem slipped into this portal.
- Tails: noted to also have two tails in the same world but “lives in the shadows.”
- Rouge: confirmed as “the bat girl.” Parent initially thought she was from “the rebel universe”; Ellie clarifies she is “just Sonic’s friend also, but no, Rouge is not created.”
