The Growing Diamond
Found by Zoe inside a treasure chest she dug up after falling from a tree. Half the chest was pure gold coins; the other half was jewels and diamonds, including a diamond as big as her fist — “a little bigger than my fist.” The diamond grows each year: it started the size of her fist and is now the size of her head. The family keeps the chest and uses it as needed; the large growing diamond is kept and growing in value.
