Amethyst & Golden

Golden escaped from the same zoo/laboratory as Amethyst; Amethyst helped her escape.

Role in the partnership: “Golden makes the plans. Amethyst does the fighting” and jailbreaking.

Mission: Rescuing mythical creatures from the Mythical Creatures Zoo chain; traveling to various zoos to break creatures out. Funded by jewels and gold from the Mythical Creature Village.

Gift-box trap: Amethyst and Golden together make mysterious gift boxes for Deathblood containing “a red sparkly fist that acts like liquid, but it’s solid” — it “comes out of the box… like a wave… but it turns into a hand, a fist, and punches him in the nose.” The gifts look different each time so Deathblood keeps falling for them.

One limitation: There is exactly one thing Golden does not know — how Deathblood always escapes his cages. “That scares Amethyst… when Golden doesn’t know something, that’s the one thing that scares Amethyst.”
